Retyping purchase invoices and receipts takes time and causes mistakes. You can upload them instead: the system reads the details and books them for you.
How it works
- Upload a pdf or photo, or several at once. On your phone you use the plus button that is on every page.
- Reading: supplier, invoice number, date, total, the VAT rate and what was bought are taken from the text. This happens on the server itself; your files are not sent anywhere.
- Check: the system verifies that total, VAT and net add up and warns about duplicate invoices.
- Booking: you check what is unclear and book. With automatic booking switched on, complete and consistent invoices are booked straight away.
What happens to the VAT?
The amount is recorded per VAT rate as a creditor booking and ends up in your VAT return as input VAT. You match the payment later with a bank statement.
Tips
- Take photos of receipts straight on and in good light; a dark background is no problem.
- If the VAT rate or total is not clearly on it, you fill that in yourself; the file stays attached to the booking.
